Dear Parents,
Summertime is over and the kids are back in school which means it is officially time for AWANA. So dust off those AWANA books and pull out those uniform shirts. We had such an awesome time last year and we are EXCITED to see what God has in store for us this year. We will start the AWANA clubs, Sparks and Truth & Training on Wednesday night, September 9.
Please remember, Club starts at 6:45 p.m. and will run until 8:15 p.m. In the event the adult service goes past that time, children will have supervised activities until the close of the service. As a reminder, when the children check in each week, they should bring their Awana books, Bible, and be in uniform.
Throughout this program, your children will learn the Gospel as they memorize and study the Scriptures through the process of completing sections in their handbooks. We encourage you as parents to set time aside during the week to help your child go over their handbooks. Awana is a self-paced program and all children are awarded according to their individual progress. Please remember sections must be completed in order and Clubber’s will be allowed to recite up to a maximum of 4 sections a night.
With this being the second year of AWANA, some of the children will already have the materials and uniform needed to get started; therefore their cost will only be the $20.00 registration fee. If your child finished Book #1, a new book must be purchased for this year. Those children who were in 2nd grade and are now in 3rd grade will move up into Truth & Training which will require them to purchase a new handbook and uniform shirt. The book fees and uniform prices have not changed.
Please fill out the registration form attached and return it either by mail or by placing it into the Drop Box located in the Children’s Building downstairs next to the Grace Zone. Remember to fill out one Registration Form per child and make your checks payable to Grace Church. Please be assured that Awana is for ALL children. We will not exclude a child whose family is challenged by the fees.
