Dear Parent,
   
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your child this AWANA year.  We are looking forward to what God will do in and through the AWANA club. Our prayer is that each participant will draw closer to our Lord and firmly establish a Biblical foundation upon which they live forever.  The following information and AWANA guidelines are meant to help you toward a successful and enjoyable year.

Our AWANA Clubs are as follows:  

Sparks:  Age 6 –2nd Grade    &    Truth & Training:  3rd –5th Grade

All clubs and programs will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings, 6:45 – 8:15.  Our AWANA Clubs are part of thousands of AWANA Clubs in churches around the world.  An AWANA Club meeting consists of three parts: games, achievements, and a Bible story time.  Our leaders are trained adults who have a heart to see kids grow in character and in the Word of God. 

On the first day of AWANA, your child will bring home an entrance booklet, which is the initial step in the AWANA achievement.  We hope you will help your child complete this booklet in the next three weeks.  After completing the entrance booklet, your child is eligible to earn more awards as a member of his or her AWANA Club.  We want to work with you in providing balanced spiritual, social, mental, and physical activities for your child.

GENERAL CLUB INFORMATION (applicable to all ages):

• Check In every week by our 6:45 p.m. start time at the Secretary table.  Club meeting activities will end promptly at 8:15; however, in the event that the Adult Service goes past that time, the children will have supervised activities until the close of the Adult service.
  
  
• There is a one time registration fee of $20.00 per year. Once your clubber is registered they will receive an entrance booklet. After they complete the entrance booklet they will receive their uniform (t-shirt) and the main handbook which they will use for the remainder of the AWANA year. The cost for the books is $10.00 and the uniform is $7.00.
  
  
• UNIFORMS must be worn every club night.  Awards will NOT be received by Clubbers if they are out of uniform. Uniforms are earned by new Clubber upon completion of the entrance booklet.
  
  
• Come to each club meeting prepared.  Read the units carefully and come prepared with all necessary information memorized. Units have a variety of requirements in addition to Bible verses.
  
  
• A MINIMUM OF ONE (1) HANDBOOK UNIT SHOULD BE PASSED EACH CLUB NIGHT.  THE GOAL IS GENERALLY 2 SECTIONS PER NIGHT, DEPENDING ON THE CLUB.  This rate will ensure all your AWANA work is completed before the end of the AWANA year. REFERENCES and VERSES must be recited word perfect for the entire unit at one sitting. While the goal is no helps, A MAXIMUM OF TWO (2) HELPS will be allowed per unit (not per verse).  Giving any portion of the reference or verse is considered a help.  All units must be completed in order.

• Your cooperation will be critical to conducting an orderly and successful club.  Leaders will instruct participants in proper behavior the first night.   After the 1st night, correction will be implemented when necessary as follows: 1st offense, verbal warning; 2nd offense, lose bucks; 3rd offense, meeting with Director; 4th offense, meeting with Director and parent(s).

Our prayer is that your young person will grow in the knowledge and wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and mature in self-discipline as we proceed through the year.  Together, we can “reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him”.

If you do not have a church home, we invite you to be our guest here at Grace Church.  Our Sunday morning service meets at 8:30 and 11:15 a.m. with a contemporary adult service, junior high program, and children’s classes for all ages.  We also have a Saturday Night service at 6:00pm as well.   Grace Church is here for you and your family!
